Do Not Enter is a command. As we move around in our communities on a daily basis we see many of these signs. When we see a “Do Not Enter” sign, we all know what it means. We should not go past it for a reason which may be unknown to us at the moment. The area could be restricted or it could be the opposite direction of a one way street. It could be private property. It could be that someone placed it there to take off track. Regardless of the reason, we know not to go past such a sign. How many times have you been confronted with the mental Do Not Enter sign? Do you know why your mind has posted such a sign? Is it for your protection?
In our life journey, we come upon stop signs to our best lives. This DO NOT ENTER is the probably the biggest. It is there because of some emotion that has taken over your mind and caused it to post such a sign. An emotion such as fear, doubt, stress, insecurity, dependency, malice or sabotage. Pay attention as these will always prevent you from that best life you are seeking.
One way of dealing with it is to pause and be aware that it is in your mind. It is only in your mind. Have a quick meeting with self to find out why. What is the emotion that the mind has posted this sign? What is the mind protecting you from? What is the mind protecting from you? What information is available to your mind that it has not yet shared with you at the conscious level? Now, bring awareness to it as a hinderance to your best life. How do you get your mind to remove this sign from both your consciousness and unconsciousness? This is where you come in-self talk. First awareness that it is there. Next resolve what is behind the sign post. Self talk- self what is going on? Self, what are you afraid of? Self, what is it you want me to know? Self, how do I deal with this? The answers will come and they will be your rising sun to your best life. Take note of your answers and move forward to living your best life.
