You are who you were made to be

IMG-20141204-WA0003You are who you were made to be even when you are not plugged into your Source.

Consider an electric kettle. Though not plugged into its Source and without water it is still a kettle. Let’s  then say it is an electric kettle that is not right now operating as a kettle–but still a kettle. Once this kettle is plugged into its Source and filled with water it starts operating as an electric kettle, and can be utilized to its maximum potential.  That is, boiling liquids–typically water. But  the question raised is, was it always an electric kettle even without being plugged into the Source? Yes it was. So are you. (more…)

7 Steps to Change

IMG-20141204-WA0003Change, is a word that we all use so often. We all want to be our best and so we seek change.  Change comes in all different shapes and forms, but what is important is how much adjustment we are willing to make to achieve it. This act of change seems to evade many of us. How do find a formula that can help us to change.

We seek change to get our new job. We seek change to be a better wife or husband. We seek change to be a better parent. We seek change to be a better friend. Change is dynamic and requires us to implement the quality control measure of continuous improvement. To achieve this I offer these 7 Steps to change; (more…)

Better to Receive then Give

It has always been said it is better to give than to receive. This however, may not be quite true. So for many of us, have spent our lives thinking that we should almost always be giving and never receiving as “giving” is always the right thing to do. Your new understanding is, it is better to receive then give. Why am I saying such a thing? Let’s look at it. What does it mean to receive? It is to be open and available to absorb from the giver. “As many as received Him he gave them the power to become…”

Receiving is something some of us don’t do very well. We do not open ourselves up to being a receptacle and sometimes it’s because of what we were taught. That it is better to give than to receive. However, you cannot give what you do not have so at some point you must have received it in order to give it.

You must receive seeds to bear fruits. This is true. No matter what it is that you have determined that you need to live your best life. It will have no power in your life until you know how to receive it. When you receive you activate blessings in your life.
None of things we are seeking for our lives such as;
Love
Joy
Peace
Happiness
Kindness
Meekness
Gentleness
Long-suffering
Prosperity
will happen for us until we have the Power to Receive them!
This power is knowing that we have the right and at the authority to receive the blessings. The “catch” is to know when it comes to you and being able to receive and embrace it.

Peace

Peace is most important to all of us. All of us want to live a life where we feel in control whether or not we can verbalize this. We all want to live a life where we feel we have peace. We tend to get frazzled when things seem out of control or not so peaceful. Rightfully so, as peace is one ingredient to living your best life. Having peace is a blessing and it brings self assurance. It allows us to focus on the things that are important to us and not the sideshows to our lives. It allows us to find our purpose driven lives. Having peace is good for your biology. It brings your blood pressure down. It soothes and calms your heart. It brings your spirit in alignment with your body. How do we find peace?

Past, Present, Future

Past present and future are three words that drive our daily conversation, but do they really exist? Let’s visit them. The Past! Oh how we spend so much time re-living the past when it does not exist anymore. We must rewire our thinking so that our lives can be full. The past used to be. It is no more. We no longer have it. That space is now a former space and is gone. Yet we spend a good portion of our lives trying to hold on to this concept. Unfortunately, while we are doing this we are not present in the now moment.
